美国 IBM 公司已经提出关于工作速度为零点几微秒的两个专用计算机存储器的报告。其中一个存储器的工作速度可达0.7微秒,而另一个(这是一个较大的系统)在实验条件下已达到0.75微秒。二者均采用已改进的磁心工艺。这个进展打破了磁心操作存储器的“微秒”关。这两个存储器是用于普通计算机中的第一个能在比1微秒更快速度下工作的大型磁心存储器。
IBM of the United States has presented a report on two dedicated computer memories operating at a speed of a few microseconds. One of the memories operates at up to 0.7 microseconds while the other (which is a larger system) has reached 0.75 microseconds under experimental conditions. Both use the improved core technology. This progress broke the “microsecond” turn of the core operating memory. These two memories are the first large core memories that can be used in normal computers to work faster than 1 microsecond.
