According to Kent Iadustrial Measurement Ltd., the UK recently produced a computer system for analyzing the chemical composition of molten iron, P1256, which measures carbon equivalence, content, silicon and phosphorous content, and hot metal casting temperature. This kind of miniature machine uses 6801 single piece, can carry in the workshop to use. The operator sends the percentage of phosphorus in the lot shown on the counter to the analyzer and the sample of molten iron into a clear test cup. As the sample cools, the analyzer determines the two temperatures at which cooling is halted, the liquidus and solidus temperature. These break points depend on the amount of impurities in the metal, the analyzer calculates the amount of impurities, and gives the digital print and display.
