本研究所指的助学系统是一个基于教科书结构功能“起点”和教学环境中学生这个教育“终点”上的研究性定义:学校教材建设中,助学系统属于教科书编排形式结构的一部分,主要行使教科书的“教学”功能,它是针对课程目标和相应学习内容被设计的,引起学习发生、提示学习过程与策略、促使达成课程相关意义的学习结果、指导学生进行学习反思并助力促成学生学习行为改变的一系列条件性材料组合。它们往往共同为学生的“学”与教师的“教”助力,以此促成教科书“利教便学”功能的极大发挥。
