Based on the field infiltration experiments of natural frozen and thawed soils during seasonal freezing and thawing in the frozen region, the characteristics of freezing and thawing in field soil were analyzed. The infiltration characteristics of frozen-thawed soil were discussed. The results show that the control and influence of infiltration water flow are different at different stages of freezing and thawing. The shape, thickness, layer number and horizon of soil freezing layer are different. The infiltration characteristics of frozen soil vary with the stage of freezing and thawing The decrease of soil hydraulic conductivity under freezing condition is the basic reason for the decrease of infiltration capacity. The phase change of soil liquid water is the root of the reduction of soil hydraulic conductivity. The research results have theoretical value for the further research on infiltration law of frozen-thawed soils in seasonal permafrost region, and have practical significance to guide the technical parameters of winter-spring irrigation in seasonal frozen soil region.
