晚明四大书家之一的董其昌建立了自己的书法理论系统,成为中国文人书法与书法理论发展史上的一座里程碑,尤其是他创造性地应用禅宗南宗的思维方式,提出了书法之“顿悟”说,成为后学者学习书法的宝贵借鉴。临摹是书法学习中的具体问题,顿悟是艺术思维问题。董其昌的临摹理论解决了如何面对古人成果的问题,而要将这些成果化为自己的创造,则更需要质的飞跃。在这方面,董其昌的“顿悟”说有其独到的见解。
Dong Qichang, one of the four great calligraphers of the late Ming Dynasty, established his own theory system of calligraphy and became a milestone in the history of the development of Chinese calligraphers and calligraphy theories. In particular, he creatively applied the way of thinking of Zen Buddhism and proposed “ Epiphany, ”said that after the scholars learn calligraphy valuable reference. Copying is a specific problem in calligraphy learning, and epiphany is an issue of artistic thinking. Dong Qichang’s copy theory solves the problem of how to deal with the achievements of the ancients, and to translate these achievements into his own creation requires a qualitative leap. In this regard, Dong Qichang’s “Epiphany” has its own unique view.
