随着现代冶金、机械、电子、宇航和核能等科学技术的飞速发展,对材料、工艺和质量不断提出新要求,同时也由于测试技术和仪器设备的迅速发展,促使金相技术的应用范围日趋扩大。除了金属或合金以外,还包括陶瓷、金属陶瓷、塑料及聚合物等方面。金相试验对于产品质量控制、设计和工艺改进、新材料研制以及失效分析等起着越加重要的作用,并不断为金属学和热处理开拓了新的研究领域。这里,仅就七十年代光学金相发展动态作些简介。
