Objective To understand the anti-HIV infection in unpaid blood donors in Panyu, Guangzhou in the recent 5 years and analyze the characteristics of their populations so as to provide a reference for HIV prevention publicity and voluntary blood donation recruitment in this area. Methods Retrospective analysis of 2010-2014 anti-HIV screening and confirmatory confirmation of unpaid blood donors in this area, check the file of anti-HIV-1 positive, and use the software of SPSS19.0 to analyze the epidemiological data. Results Of the 158 320 samples, WB (Western Blot) confirmed HIV-1 positive samples in 26 cases. In the recent 5 years, the HIV prevalence of unpaid blood donors in this area was 1.64 / million (26/158 320). The results of different age groups showed that: χ ~ 2 = 13.47, P <0.01, all of 26 infected persons were under 40 years of age; χ ~ 2 = 12.75, P < 26%). Among different occupational groups, χ ~ 2 = 48.31, P <0.01, of which workers accounted for 76.9% (20/26). Among the 26 infected persons, non-Guangzhou residents accounted for 96.15% (25/26) And repeat blood donors accounted for 76.9% and 23.1% respectively. Two of them continued to participate in blood donation after confirmation of positive CDC. The main route of infection was non-marital transmission. Conclusions While continuing to rigorous HIV screening, blood donation should begin with taking good care off blood donation and blood bank information system to conduct effective pre-donation health consultation for blood donors, especially those with low education level. Re-donated blood donors, nor can relax the request for advice, to avoid high-risk behavior or positive cases involved in blood donation.
