Objective To investigate the expression of DOG1 and CD117 in gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST) and their clinicopathological significance. Methods Immunohistochemical Maxvision method was used to detect the expression of DOG1, CD117 and CD34 in 50 patients with GIST. Results The positive rates of DOG1, CD117 and CD34 in 50 cases of GIST were 98%, 90% and 74% respectively. The positive rate of DOG1 was significantly higher than that of CD117 and CD34 (all P <0.05). Conclusions The combination of DOG1 and CD117 can increase the sensitivity of GIST. However, the expression of DOG1 and CD117 is not related to the risk of invasion of GIST. DOG1 protein is a more sensitive and specific GIST-assisted diagnosis of antibodies, for the diagnosis of GIST has important significance.
