In recent years, the concept of “urban renewal” has drawn more and more attention from the public. As one of the first countries to begin urbanization in the United Kingdom, many cities have explored different paths in the urban renewal area. The City of Klang, London, has been transformed from a nearly abandoned area to one of the most reputable urban renewal projects in the world. The old industrial city of Leicester has strengthened its humane care through the urban renewal strategy through the National Space Center Museum. Nottingham, a medium-sized industrial city in the UK, “Chinese Dinosaurs: from shaking the Giants to Feather Elves ” exhibition held to enhance the city’s image and influence. Therefore, some experts suggest that the essence of urban renewal should be to improve the urban spatial form and function of built-up areas, to upgrade urban functions rather than to the general meaning of “replacing old things with new ones.”
