The production of art is inseparable from the consumption of art. The consumer of art - the recipient of Chinese contemporary art in this article - is also an important aspect of studying Chinese contemporary art as a complete last step in the whole art creation. This article chooses three kinds of art acceptors facing Chinese art in the 1980s and 1990s: Western groups, critics and the general public to conduct an investigation, analyze their respective status and influence and explore the role of the recipients in the whole contemporary art. Through these investigations, we can relate the status quo and situation of Chinese contemporary art and reflect on the value of the recipients in the strategy of contemporary Chinese art.
