Taiwan’s aboriginal population accounts for 2.1% of Taiwan’s total population. Although long-term contacts with the outside world, Aboriginal people live in villages and mountains far away from the cities. Inconvenient transportation, public infrastructure is relatively backward. Coupled with the fact that the Taiwan authorities have long overlooked the infrastructure for Aboriginal settlements, their economic conditions lag far behind other urban areas. Moreover, given the numerous and complicated political situations in Taiwan in recent years, authorities often make the aboriginal people their tools of election. On the surface, they have made some greetings and made many commitments to the capital construction of their settlement. However, most of them do not benefit at all.
