One of the important ways to spread AIDS is through the vertical transmission of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) to newborns by pregnant women, especially at birth, where the newborns are at high risk of becoming infected with AIDS. To reduce the risk of vertical transmission of HIV among mothers and infants, the authors investigated the use of bloodless caesarean sections (infants not exposed to the mother’s blood and body fluids) to reduce the risk of vertical transmission of HIV. Fifty-three infants delivered by bloodless caesarean section were selected, and another 55 infants selected by conventional caesarean section or vaginal delivery were selected as control group. Check the baby’s blood after a year. The results are as follows: 5.7%
