Shidi’s second solo exhibition in China, “Tianshui Wuju,” was held on October 26, 2006 in podiums 3-5, 7 of the China Art Museum. The exhibition is co-sponsored by the Chinese Art Museum, the Chinese Artists Association, the Italian Cultural Center and the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the French Republic. Siddy works strokes freehand heart free, full of colorful gorgeous, creating a dream image of dim and clear distant artistic conception. Zhao Jinjun, Chinese ambassador to France, once wrote an inscription for the exhibition of Shidi: “Pure artistic conception, unique art, shocking impact and lasting impression.” Fan Di’an, director of the China Art Museum, said that Shidi’s work is “pure painting.” Dr. Yin Shuangxi, an academic on the history of art, believes that her paintings “come from the life of an individual, comprehending the unselfish gift given by nature to human vision and mind, and becoming a genuine aesthetic contract between heart and object.” Xu Jiang, dean of the China Academy of Art, said she is “not trying to draw what she sees, but rather trying to undertake the image she flows in. She never wanted to paint anything but always wanted to paint it alive.”
