Eighty patients with PICC admitted to our hospital from July 2015 to July 2016 were randomly divided into study group and control group, 40 cases each. Patients in the control group were given routine nursing interventions and the study group was given a humane nursing intervention based on routine care. Then compare the incidence of PICC catheterization adverse events in both groups and the patients’ satisfaction with nursing. Results: The incidence of PICC catheter adverse events in study group was significantly lower than that in control group (P <0.05). The satisfaction degree of nursing group in study group was significantly higher than that in control group (P <0.05). CONCLUSIONS: The addition of a humanized care model to PICC catheterized patients can effectively reduce the incidence of adverse events in patients and improve their satisfaction with nursing care, thus further enhancing their compliance.
