Hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) is a common infectious disease caused by various enteroviruses. It is mainly infants and young children. Most patients have mild symptoms and are mainly characterized by fever and rash or herpes at the hands, feet and mouth. A small number of patients may be complicated by aseptic meningitis, encephalitis, acute delayed paralysis, respiratory tract infections and myocarditis, the rapid progress of individual cases of severe illness, prone to death. Children and adults do not develop any more disease after infection, but can spread the virus [1].
