中央电视台戏曲频道的《跟我学》属于知识类的戏曲栏目,其开播十几年来社会效益显著,拥有了相对固定的戏迷收视群体,对传承戏曲文化做出了自己的贡献。不过,结合电视节目竞争的大环境来看,该节目难称繁荣,在播出状况、内容设计、品牌推广等方面还都有所不足。其主要的改进思路应在于规范节目结构和播出时间、创新内容、拓展剧种、树立品牌意识等。由此纵观戏曲知识类的电视栏目,虽面临激烈竞争,但仍有不小的提升空间,只要在坚持文化传承的根本宗旨的基础上积极创新,兼顾品牌战略,可望更持久且更广泛地弘扬民族戏曲音乐文化遗产。
