Over the past 20 years since the Soviet Union’s dissolution, the United States has been in a proactive and uninterrupted war atmosphere. Military expenditures have continued to increase substantially, and the performance of most military equipment has jumped. The progress made by its military equipment in target acquisition, war decision-making and the information-sharing of weapon systems has given ample room for troop transformation. Despite these changes and changes in two major military and political theories of the early 1970s and late 1990s, no changes have been observed in the structure of the basic combat units such as armored battalions in the last two decades. So, the existing system is not perfect enough so that there is no need for reform? Here we from all aspects of the relevant discussions.
