1915-1916 French silent film director Fayyard put the “vampire” on the screen, from then on, wandering in the darkness of the theater vampire, became the audience’s lingering nightmare and temptation. People are afraid of him, but rush, “fear” constitutes the eternal love of the audience like this movie. Vampire is actually a “cultural taboo,” which is why people are afraid of it. There is no manifestation of the mainstream cultural values of humanity such as morality and love in him. He is not favored by God and can not walk in the daytime. He is banished forever In the wilderness outside of human civilization, he constitutes the antithesis of the mainstream culture of the time. But this year’s vampire-themed horror film Dark Legend 2: Evolution, directed by Len Weisman, wanted to get rid of our fears and pull vampires out of the taboo of civilization, making them the embodiment and symbol of mainstream cultural values. Culturally speaking, The Dark Night 2: Evolution is an evolution of vampires in the history of cinema.
