Proposed the concept and basic structure of coal mine engineering geological model. This paper discusses the mining effect of engineering geological model and its component units, builds a prediction model and applies it to the construction of water-proof coal-rock pillar under the caving mining of thick loose aquifer in Henghe coal mine of Shandong province. This laid the foundation for the further development of waterproof coal rock pillar engineering geological system research method.
