狄金森被公认为美国最有影响力的诗人之一,她的作品经常围绕“死亡”主题展开。狄金森打破了传统死亡的刻板印象,认为死亡是一种能够被再定义的符号。笔者采用文本细读法,以《因为我不能停步等候死神》的文本分析为基础,对死亡形式、属性以及意义的再构建三个方面进行剖析,旨在探究狄金森对死亡的再定义。
Dickinson is recognized as one of the most influential poets in the United States, and her work often revolves around the theme of “Death.” Dickinson broke the stereotype of traditional death, thinking that death is a sign that can be redefined. Based on the textual analysis of “Because I can not wait for death”, the author analyzes the forms, attributes and reconstruction of the three aspects of death to explore Dickinson’s redefinition of death.
