In the novel “The Book of Taiji”, water not only becomes the background of the novel as a natural scene, but also enters into the development of the story. As a spiritual symbol of freedom and tolerance, water creates an atmosphere for the characterization and living environment of the people. However, when Wang Zengqi was describing and exhibiting, he lost his freedom and went to extremes.
