水电站同发电量相等的火电厂加上煤矿相比,人工和材料的消耗都比火电少得多,以准备开工的黄河上游的李家峡水电站(装机200万千瓦,其中80万千瓦带北京、天津的尖峰负荷,发电量59亿度)为例。 建设期和生产期的人工消耗总计,火电是水电的八倍;材料消耗总计火电是水电的四倍;生产期间的生产人员水电1200人,火电20,000人,火电是水电的十六倍。所谓:“水电不如火电经济”的论点是完全违背事实的。
