秃尾河发源于神木县的宫泊海子,流经神木、榆林,于佳县的武家峁注入黄河,全长140km,流域面积3294km~2该流域地处毛乌素沙漠南缘,北部为风沙区,南部为黄土丘陵沟壑区第一副区。秃尾河每年向黄河输入大量泥沙,其中粗沙占70%之多,为较严重的多沙粗沙河流。为了使现有土地资源得到充分利用,需进行有针对性的综合治理,即对土壤、地貌、侵蚀现状、植被、气象、社会经济环境等多种因子进行综合分析,划分出各种不同治理措施的类型区。由于定性分析对多因子综合分区有一定的局限性与主观随意性,本文初步尝试用贝叶斯准则逐步判别法进行水土保持综合治理区的一级区划,用Q模式系统聚类分析进行二级区划
