This article describes the tensile, compression and shear properties of terephthalate polyester resins with flexible additives. Using this resin as a matrix, a glass fiber-reinforced monolayer tube and a spiral tube wound with a twist of ± 54.7 ° were fabricated. The in-plane shear, transverse tensile and compressive properties of single-layer tubes were measured. Through the internal pressure test, the elastic properties of pipe, the way of destruction and the leakage strength were determined. The test results are discussed. The performance of resins has been shown to have a significant impact on the performance of monolayer tubes and spiral tubes. In particular, increased resin flexibility leads to increased tube leakage.
