1922年的一天,北京城里最繁华的长安大街上,出现了奇怪的一幕:一辆挨一辆的马拉大车,浩浩荡荡,前前后后足足有50多辆,每辆车上都堆满了一个个大麻袋,算起来共有8000多个,引得无数路人驻足观看。马车队从紫禁城出发,往西行进,负责押运的人是西单一家纸店的两个老伙计,麻袋里的东西将被运到河北的造纸厂。可是过了没几天,这些东西又运了回来,而且价钱比原先涨了两倍。同时,京城里传言,这家纸店买卖的是故宫大内的东西,这到底是怎么回事呢?这些麻袋里装的东西,果真是传言中的大内之物吗?
