赋作为中国古代文学中的一种特殊体裁,在诗歌、散文、戏曲、小说诸文体中独树一帜。美国学者康达维(D.R.Knechtges)曾将“赋”比喻植物中的“石楠花”,取品类多且易产生新品种(如杜鹃花)意,说明“赋”异于诗文的体裁本质(1)。也正因为在西方文学中难找到与赋相类的文体,在本世纪新文学运动思潮中赋由于创作的断裂与其文体特质同新文学简明通晓风格之悖离,其研究也就经历了与其它文体不同的冷落境遇和曲折道路。令人惊奇的是,在本世纪80年代后赋学蓦然复兴,则为这株古老的石楠花创造了一个光耀世界的新神话。
Fu as a special genre in Chinese ancient literature, is unique in poetry, prose, drama, novels. D.R.Knechtges, an American scholar, once compared “Fu” with “Heather” in plants, taking more varieties and being easy to produce new varieties (such as azaleas), indicating that the genre of “Fu” is different from that of poetry Essence (1).
