Objective To understand the prevalence and related factors of dyslipidemia among residents in Ouhai District of Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province, and to provide evidence for further prevention and control of dyslipidemia. Methods A total of 3,905 permanent residents over the age of 18 were investigated by questionnaires, physical examinations and laboratory tests using a multistage cluster random sampling method. Results The mean (TC), triglyceride (TG), high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) and low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) were 5.27,1.60 and 1.37 And 3.19 respectively, the abnormal rates were 18.7%, 17.1%, 14.1% and 15.3% respectively. The total dyslipidemia rate was 39.7%, the normalized rate was 36.0%, the abnormal lipoprotein rate was 28.0%, and the normalized margin rate was 27.2%. The rate of dyslipidemia is higher in males than in females, and increases with age. TC and LDL-C were increased with age, TG, HDL-C and age groups no difference, HDL-C abnormal rate of male than female, LDL-C abnormal rate of female Higher than men. The prevalence of dyslipidemia was 8.1%, with no difference between age groups and gender. Logistic regression analysis, hyperuricemia, central obesity, diabetes mellitus, hypertension were the related factors of dyslipidemia or aggregation disease. Conclusion The prevalence of dyslipidemia in Ouhai district of Wenzhou City is high, while the awareness rate of dyslipidemia is low, which should be paid more attention to. Intervention measures should be adopted accordingly.
