明清时代的篆刻艺术,是中国印篆史上的辉煌时期。经济的发展和社会交往的频繁,使作为凭信工具的印章需求量大增,加之价格较低,资源丰富、镌刻方便的石质印材大量出现,为文人书画家自篆自刻提供了物质便利。明代中叶乃至清代,一批具有高度艺术素养的文人、书画家参与了印章的创作,他们标新立异,推动了篆刻艺术的发展。清代的边慰祖、丁敬、黄易、陈曼生、邓石如、赵之谦、黄士陵、吴昌硕等,以书、篆、画三者俱臻精境闻名于世。但石章浩如烟海,磨灭消亡亦多,古代名家之刻,留传至今尚能几多?
Ming and Qing Dynasties seal carving art, seal printing history of China is a brilliant period. Economic development and frequent social exchanges have greatly increased the demand for seals as instruments of trust. In addition, a large number of stone printed materials with low prices and abundant resources are engraved and convenient for literati artists since the seal was inscribed. In the middle of the Ming Dynasty and even in the Qing Dynasty, a group of literati and calligraphers with a high degree of artistic accomplishment participated in the creation of seals. They were unconventional and promoted the development of seal cutting art. Qing dynasty comforting ancestors, Ding Jing, Huang Yi, Chen Mingsheng, Deng Shiru, Zhao Zhiqian, Huang Shiling, Wu Changshuo, etc. But Shizhao Haoyunyan, obliterated many disappeared, the ancient masters of the moment, stay still how many can still?
