Vitis davidii Foex is a wild species of grape genus Vitis, originated in China and distributed in vast areas of China such as Shaanxi, Gansu, Central China, South China, East China, Yunnan and Guizhou. So far, no reports of such grapes as cultivars have yet to be seen. However, according to our investigation, 80% of the grapes cultivated in Yushan, Jiangxi province were found to be clonal offspring derived from the domestication of prickly grapes. The place of origin and cultivation were mostly Tongwei Village, Hengjie Township, Yushan County, hence the name Tongtui Grape. The village has a total of 256 such grapes, with an annual output of 30000 pounds of grapes. At present, the grapes in Yushan County has grown to more than 2,000 strains, annual output of more than 90,000 pounds, in addition to local sales, but also Shangrao and other places. Due to the stability and relative consistency of genetic traits of clones of clone clones, the production has high economic benefits.
