From 1978 to 2008, the state of Oklahoma in the United States had an average of only 3.0 magnitude earthquakes twice a year from 1978 to 2008, and 230 earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 or above occurred in only half a year in 2014, surpassing California to become the most prone to earthquakes in the United States State. In recent years, the earthquake was frequent “harassment ” there are Texas, Arkansas and Ohio. Seismologists suspect this is caused by the exploitation of natural gas by hydraulic fracturing. This method needs to inject a large amount of salt water and chemical waste water deep into the ground during hydraulic fracturing, which exerts tremendous pressure on the crust so as to cause man-made earthquakes. However, local government officials and officials of the energy companies believe that the idea of man-made “natural disasters” is ridiculous.
