目前,各地电视机的室外天线林立,五花八门,不论采用何种型式,共同点则都是固定不动的。天线方向一旦固定不动,便给应用带来麻烦,如因风的吹动或其它原因促使天线方向有所变动时,不仅影响收看效果,而且势必登上高处重新校准方向,十分不便。既便采用全频道天线,由于天线不能转动,也只是所对电视台方向收看效果较好,而其他方向的电视节目则收看效果较差,甚至很差,不能充分发挥全频道天线的优越性。因此,当一个地区有2～3套电视节目时,有人为了保证收看效果,不得不同时架设2～3套室外天线。
