近年由于对正常人呼吸调节机制有了比较清楚的了解,加上测试方法上新技术的应用,治疗的进展,鼓励人们对化学感受器作进一步的研究。很多没有胸肺疾患者发生呼吸衰竭的现象,似乎与化学感受器调节机制的缺陷有关,在胸肺疾患者中也发现有化学感受器功能障碍的现象。因此,有必要对呼吸化学调节机制,和有关化学感受器敏感性的测定加以专门考虑。化学感受器化学感受器分为中枢和周围两种。中枢化学感受器位于延脑腹侧。
