康齿宝口胶对变链菌胞外GTase，ISG，体外菌斑形成的有效抑制浓度均为25mg／ml；对细菌产酸的有效抑制浓度为50mg／ml；对离体牙脱矿的有效保护浓度为200mg／ml；康齿宝口胶的最大耐受量为85．2g药材／kg·d（ig），相当临床日用量的741倍；多次给药的刺激性试验表明本品对口腔粘膜无刺激性；以临床日剂量的100和50倍（11．5g和5.75g药材／（kg·d）给大白鼠ig给药，每天1次，连续3个月．动物的一般情况，体重，血液学，血液生化学指标均未见异常，主要脏器组织学检查也未见异常改变。
