The prevalence of upper urinary tract calculi in pilots was significantly higher than that of comparable ground staff at the same airport. Improper diet composition led to an increase in urinary calcium and uric acid levels, which was the main cause of high incidence of kidney and ureteral calculi. Frequent flight and physical activity, sweating, urine concentration, but also enhance the role of the risk factors. Clinically, about half of the patients had no history of colic, while 90% had gross or microscopic hematuria. Nearly 20% of the cases, repeated abdominal plain film failed to show the shadow of stones, of which about 1/4 by retrograde air imaging, stone shadow to be displayed. Of the 255 cases, 29.4% were kidney stones, 16.9% were multiple or double stones, and 40% had hydronephrosis with a degree of 34.9%. The operative rate was 20.8%.
