Objective To investigate the clinical value of using a new dressing in the treatment of chronic wounds. Methods Sixty-four patients with chronic wound inpatients admitted to Longcheng Hospital, Longgang District, Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province from January 1, 2014 to December 31, 2015 were selected as the study subjects, and were divided into observation group and control group by random number table Group, each 32 cases. Patients in the observation group were given new dressings dressing change, while those in the control group were treated with dressing dressing. The wound healing rate and wound dressing care were compared between the two groups. Results The wound healing rate in observation group was significantly higher than that in control group at 1 week, 3 weeks and 5 weeks (all P <0.05). The dressing time in observation group was significantly shorter than that in control group , Secondary trauma scores and VAS scores were significantly lower than the control group, the skin around the wound score was significantly higher than the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion The application of the new dressing can promote the healing of chronic wounds and improve the quality of wound healing.
