用电脑进行报纸编排在国外已经实行多年,这项报纸出版业的重大改革给许多国家的新闻界带来了重大影响。我国新闻出版界近年来也有人致力于报纸出版电脑化的研究。由于国内计算机技术的发展和国外先进技术装备的引进,这一构想实现的条件日益成熟。今年元月,我国第一张用电脑排版的报纸在上海问世了,这就是中国福利会主办的《儿童计算机世界》。《儿童计算机世界》创刊于1984年6月,四开四版,每月出版两期,是根据中央领导同志关于开发儿童智力、普及计算机知识要从小抓起的指示精神创办的,主要面向学习计算机技术的中小学生和其他初级计算机技术人员。报纸报道少年儿童计算机方面的活动,介绍计算机基础知识,刊载各类计算机试题,内容深入浅出,生动有趣,很受广大少年儿童计算机爱好者的欢迎。在上海印刷技术研究所激光照排实验室的大力支持下,《儿童计算机世界》从1985年第一期起告别人工排字房,采用激光电脑照相排版新技术,揭开了我国报纸出版业的崭新一页。 The computerized newspaper layout has been practiced abroad for many years. In January of this year, China’s first newspaper with computer typesetting was published in Shanghai. This is the “Children’s Computer World” hosted by the China Welfare Society. Founded in June 1984 and published in four editions and four monthly editions, Children’s Computer World was launched in accordance with the instructions of the central leading comrades on developing children’s intelligence and popularizing computer knowledge that they should be young, mainly for learning computers Technical primary and secondary students and other junior computer technicians. The newspapers cover the activities of children’s computers, introduce the basic knowledge of computers, and publish various computer questions. The contents are simple and lively and enjoyable. They are very popular with computer enthusiasts of children and adolescents. With the strong support from the Laser Phototypesetting Laboratory of Shanghai Institute of Printing Technology, “Children’s Computer World” bid farewell to the artificial typesetting room from the first period in 1985 and adopted the new technique of laser photographic typesetting and publishing, which opened a brand new one in our country’s newspaper publishing industry page.
