水利工程定期冲洗沉沙池 ,一般为双室或多室交替运行 ,当其中某池室的沉沙容积淤满 ,出池含沙量达不到设计标准时 ,应停止该室沉沙运行 ,及时冲洗。泄空冲洗是定期冲洗式沉沙池的一种特殊冲洗方式。一般情况下 ,沉沙池停止淤积运行之初 ,池内尚存有一定数量的水体 ,如及时开启冲沙闸泄空 ,可利用这部分水体挟带池内尚未充分浓缩固结的泥沙出池。大禹渡等沉沙池泄空冲洗原型观测和模型试验排沙效果表明 ,沉沙池泄空冲洗不仅冲洗效果好 ,而且可节省冲洗水量。验证结果表明 ,由水沙平衡条件给出的式 (5 )和式 (6 )分别用于计算与本文类似条件的沉沙池泄空冲洗排沙量及冲洗历时是合理的。泄空冲洗计算关键是合理选择平均排沙含量Scp 及可泄空排出的淤积泥沙干密度γ′s。
