教学工作是学校的中心工作,教学质量是学校生存和发展的生命线,其重要程度可见一斑。老年大学经过30多年的发展,取得了长足进步。同时,随着时代的变迁,老年学员的需求也发生了显著变化。比如对于专业设置,不再满足于单纯的娱乐性科目,有了对丰富精神文化生活、对提高实践能力和鉴赏能力的热望;对于教师的授课方法,不再认同于其一味照本宣科、满堂灌输,而是希望将老年大学的课堂变成教师之“教”与学生之“学”的双边互动,互相影响、互相融合、互相激发,等等。国务院办公厅印发的《老年教育发展规划(2016—2020年)》也明确指出要“创新教学方法”。由此可见,“创新”符合时代发展的需求,是做好新时期老年大学教学工作的根本所在。本文作者提出的教学理念、课程设置和教学方法的创新,虽然过去也有同行做过论述,但此文之精在于有理有据,有经验、有措施、有设想,可谓牢牢抓住了创新教学的着力点。
