The system structure of a 12 8 × 12 8 gaze uncooled infrared thermal imaging camera with a microbolometer is introduced. The driving scheme of the infrared focal plane readout circuit is emphatically discussed. The design has high integration, high precision, low cost, simple wiring, etc., in line with the third generation of “smart” focal plane array design
