The word “FIX” is intended to mean: fixed, installed, assembled, repaired, etc. In addition to our common “fix” in English for science and technology, Americans have brought it into everyday life. About 350 years ago, the word “fix” followed the first group of expatriates from across the ocean to England. For some time, “fix” did not add new words. For example, it was only after the expatriates arrived in the United States that they could not go home. Now their homes are “fixed” in this new land. They started to get busy and the first thing they did was fix their eyes on the land, sow and rebuild.
