文化是解读语言现象的关键因素之一,词汇是文化信息的浓缩,是语言的重要组成部分,它反映着文化的发展和变化差异。词汇学习是英语学习的重点,影响着听、说、读、写、译各项能力的发展。传统英语词汇教学过多注重词的发音、拼写及字面意思,而忽略了词汇所负载着的丰富的民族文化内涵,往往会造成学生词汇理解能力差、应用水平低。要改变这种状况,必须结合文化进行英语词汇教学,在教学中注意英语词汇文化内涵导入的方法,以达到词汇教学的真正目的。
Culture is one of the key factors to interpret the phenomenon of language. Vocabulary is the concentration of cultural information and an important part of language. It reflects the differences in cultural development and changes. Vocabulary learning is the focus of English learning, affecting the development of various abilities of listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating. Traditional English vocabulary teaching emphasizes the pronunciation, spelling and literal meaning of words while ignoring the rich national culture connotation carried by words, which often results in poor vocabulary comprehension and low level of application. In order to change this situation, English vocabulary teaching must be combined with culture, and attention should be paid to the introduction of the cultural connotation of English vocabulary in teaching in order to achieve the real purpose of vocabulary teaching.
