一 票据在市场经济发展中的作用票据作为国际通行的结算和信用支付工具,在世界绝大多数国家得到极为广泛的运用。按大陆法系国家的法律及有关的国际条约可分为汇票、本票(期票)、支票三种。它在经济中的作用主要表现在:一是支付手段的作用。票据可作为支付工具代替货币,较之货币简单、便利、安全,能有效地提高流通效率。二是汇兑手段的作用。汇兑功能是票据最早具有的功能,具有解决现金支付在空间上的障碍作用。在汇票出现之前,异地之间,尤其是国际之间的经济往来用现金结算,风险大,不安全,且耗时费力,同时还受到政府禁止现金输出的限制。以票据为汇兑工具,则可以解决现金支付在空间上
