Residual stresses in DCB samples of different heat-treated state were measured. The contribution of residual stress to the stress intensity factor at crack tip K_ (1R) was calculated and calculated. Experiments show that when the K_ (1R) value is higher than the K_ (1SCC) value of the material, cracks in the DCB sample without external load can be stress corrosion extended to the end of the sample.
