According to the “Electric News” of Japan in September 1993, Japan’s power companies have made it more difficult to locate coal-fired power plants due to environmental issues. However, it is still difficult to achieve the full or low-cost and effective use of carbon dioxide produced by coal-fired power plants. Recovery, and therefore consider a more realistic approach is to increase power generation efficiency, so that the total carbon dioxide emissions decreased. For this reason, the more promising technical measure is the use of combined cycle power generation (PFBC) with a pressurized fluidized bed and integrated gasification combined cycle power generation (IGCC). These two types of power generation systems have higher power generation efficiency than traditional thermal power plants. They have compact equipment, small footprint, and can burn different types of coal and have better load tracking.
