郑正秋通过拒绝外稿的方式,使其主持的剧评专栏事实上成为他的个人专栏,成为职业剧评的滥觞。郑氏虽然很少言及其剧评理念,但他在剧评实践中显露出来的“立公平之言”剧评原则、“社会教育”与“雅俗共赏”并重的剧评立场,远超同时代的剧评家。尤其是郑正秋对剧评“一致性”的强调,显露出其建构自身剧评体系的理论自觉,对推动传统剧评的现代发展意义重大。
