The same name of a plant is the result of cognition of a certain plant by a common ethnic group, and is a reference factor for distinguishing whether or not the national origin is homologous. The same nomenclature of the native plants in the Zhuang-Tai ethnic group, such as Chinese cabbage, Chinese cabbage, taro, etc., is yet another proof that they are “same-rooted peoples.” Their unusual designation of exotic plants, such as tobacco, corn, sweet potatoes, suggests that they are differentiated by homology. The fact that the Thai and Lao nationals make no distinction between cabbage and mustard suggests that they left the Chinese region of Lingnan in the 6th century.
