在中国公路建设快速发展的同时,也逐步呈现出一些不合理现象,如公路部门用于公路新建、扩建的投资比重较大,相应地用于公路养护方面的投资较少;对于公路质量状况的实时检评力度不够,尤其在公路路面结构内部质量状况检测方面缺少有效的方法和手段,路面一般到大面积破损出现时,才提出大修改造措施以恢复路面结构质量。而探地雷达技术恰恰就是在路面尚未达到大修时就能检测出路面结构的内部缺陷,做到提前预知病害并及时有效地加以处理,相对工程大修而言,探地雷达不但技术可行,而且能节约工程造价。
