西南地区是我国经济发展的一个潜在增长极,钦州保税港区提出要将钦州港建成区域性国际航运枢纽,对加快我国西南地区经济发展是非常必要的,是以港兴市的战略思维和战略举措。对货运物流而言,港口即市,市兴,则人货皆聚之;市衰,则人货皆弃之。实现港口之市的兴旺,要有政府的支撑作用、政策的保障作用,但更要发挥市场经济的作用,且市场拥有最终的发言权。因此,要从北部湾所在地区的经济和港口发展,从充分利用钦州保税港区的优势着手进行思考,提出建成西南区域性国际航运枢纽的建议。
