Marx and Engels’ trade union rights protection theory is a theoretical reflection on the practice of trade union movement in Western Europe, especially the United Kingdom. According to Marx and Engels, the trade union originated from the opposition of the working class to the oppression and exploitation of the capitalist class. The safeguarding of trade union rights is of great significance under the conditions of capitalism. However, there are limits to opposing the result and not opposing the reasons. Therefore, the trade union must shift from the economic field Political areas, to become the organizational foundation of the working class party, can fundamentally change the fate. Marx and Engels’ trade union rights protection theory has distinctive features of class, science and time. It is still the source of living water for the study and practice innovation of trade union theory under the condition of socialism.
