如何在小尺度街区上布局大型公共建筑是“窄马路,密路网”背景下新的建筑设计问题。以加拿大建筑师亚瑟·埃里克森设计的罗宾逊广场综合体为例,从功能与体量、流线、公共活动面及街道界面等方面,立足于“小”与“大”的矛盾与调和,阐述在尺度不大的城市街区,布局大型综合性公共建筑与回应特定城市问题的方法。在更为紧张的中国城市环境条件的限制下,试图通过对罗宾逊广场综合体的研究,为建筑如何积极改善城市空间提供参考。
How to layout large-scale public buildings on small-scale blocks is a new architectural design issue in the context of “narrow streets and dense road networks.” Take the Robinson Square complex designed by Canadian architect Arthur Erickson as an example. Based on the functions and mass, streamline, public activity surface and street interface, the “small” and “big ”Contradictions and reconciliation, elaborated in the modest urban blocks, the layout of large-scale integrated public buildings and respond to a specific city issues. Under the restriction of the tense urban environmental conditions in China, attempts to provide a reference for how to actively improve the urban space through the study of the Robinson Plaza complex.
